BREWERY BUSINESS PARK

Location:
Dundalk, Count Louth

Completion:

2012

Project Type:
Commercial

Value:
€2,000,000

Units:
55

The business park was developed on the 20-acre site of the former Macardle Moore brewery, exploiting the many assets that this post-industrial location possesses providing for 55 units. The design and build were dictated and challenged by engineering (Geo-Technical, Civil & Structural) and site constraints. We provided a Full Design Service including all Project Management, Civil & Structural Engineering, M&E, Fire Safety, Cost Control services & Health & Safety.

STRUCTURAL

We designed and implemented a reinforced concrete pile/ground beam foundation arrangement with suspended concrete ground floor slabs, a steel portal frame shell with masonry wall infill panels which catered for all lateral imposed wind loads and additional internal crane loadings applied.

FIRE SAFETY

We were tasked with assessing the compliance of the existing brewery with updated building regulations, and design of refurbishment works as required including submission of Fire Safety Cert applications.

PROJECT SUPERVISION

We were appointed to undertake the role of Project Supervisor for the Design Process (PSDP) inclusive of all statutory duties/services in compliance with Health and Safety Legislation.

CIVIL

We were appointed to design all the necessary civil infrastructural works, which included roads, drainage & utilities all within challenging site constraints and poor ground conditions.
